Want a Free Foundation Match Join My 30 Ladies in 30 Days Challenge
Finding the right foundation shade should not feel like a guessing game, a drawer full of “almost right” bottles, or a trip to the store where the lighting changes everything.
That is why I am kicking off something fun, helpful, and completely free: my 30 Ladies in 30 Days Foundation Match Challenge.
As your LimeLife Beauty Guide, my goal is simple. I want to color match 30 ladies in 30 days and help each person feel more confident choosing a foundation shade that looks like skin, not a mask. No awkward counter lighting. No pressure. No purchase required.
All you need to do is send me a few clear selfies, and I will help match you as closely as possible from the LimeLife foundation options.

Why I am doing this challenge
Foundation can be one of the hardest beauty products to buy online. A lipstick can be fun even if it turns out a little brighter than expected. A blush can be softened. A mascara is pretty straightforward.
Foundation is different.
The right shade needs to work with your skin tone, your undertone, and the way your skin looks in real life. It needs to blend into your neck and chest, not just your cheek. It needs to feel like you, only evened out.
I hear the same foundation struggles all the time:
“Everything looks too orange on me.”
“My face and neck never match.”
“I think I’m neutral, but I’m not sure.”
“I bought a shade online and it was way too light.”
“I want coverage, but I don’t want to look like I’m wearing a lot of makeup.”
If that sounds familiar, you are exactly why I wanted to create this challenge.
My mission for the next 30 days is to help 30 ladies find a better foundation match through simple selfie-based color matching. This is a fun way for me to serve more people as a LimeLife Beauty Guide while helping you feel less overwhelmed by foundation choices.
And yes, I want to be very clear about this part: there is absolutely no purchase required to participate.
You can send your photos, receive your match suggestion, ask questions, and decide what feels right for you from there. No pressure. No obligation. Just help from someone who loves beauty and wants you to feel good in your skin.
How the free foundation match works
The process is simple. You send me a few clear photos, I review them, and I help recommend your closest foundation shade.
This is not about covering who you are. It is about helping you find a formula and shade that enhances your natural complexion and gives you the kind of finish you love.
Here is what happens when you join:
You comment or message me to say you want to participate.
I will remind you what photos to send.
You send your selfies using the directions below.
I review your skin tone, depth, and undertone from the photos.
I send back your suggested LimeLife foundation match.
If needed, we talk through your skin type, coverage goals, and finish preference.
That is it. Simple, personal, and free.
A selfie match is especially helpful if you have tried to choose foundation from a shade chart and felt lost. Shade charts can help, but real-life photos tell a better story. They show how your skin reflects light, whether your undertone leans cool, warm, olive, peach, golden, or neutral, and whether your face and neck vary in depth.
The better the photos, the better the match. So let’s talk about how to send the best ones.

How to take the best selfies for your match
You do not need fancy lighting or a perfect photo setup. Your phone camera is enough. The goal is to show your skin as clearly and naturally as possible.
The best time to take your photos is during the day, near a window, with soft natural light on your face. Stand facing the window, not with the window behind you. Backlighting makes your face look darker and can throw off the match.
Try to avoid bathroom lighting if it is very yellow, blue, or harsh. Overhead lights can create shadows under the eyes and chin. Car selfies can work sometimes, but tinted windows and shadows can change your skin tone, so natural window light is usually better.
Please send these photo angles
For the most accurate match, send three to four photos:
A straight-on selfie with your face relaxed
A photo turned slightly to the left
A photo turned slightly to the right
A neck and chest photo if you are comfortable
The neck and chest photo is helpful because many people have a face that is a little lighter, darker, or pinker than the rest of their body. A good foundation match usually needs to connect the face to the neck so everything looks natural.
If you normally apply self-tanner to your body, please mention that. If you want your foundation to match your tanned skin, I need to know. If you want your everyday, non-tanned shade, that helps too.
Use natural skin when possible
For the cleanest match, take your photos without foundation on. Tinted moisturizer, concealer, powder, or filters can change the way your skin reads in a photo.
If you are not comfortable sending a foundation-free selfie, that is okay. Send what you can and let me know what you are wearing on your skin. I can still guide you, but bare skin gives the best starting point.
Please avoid:
Filters or smoothing effects
Flash photography
Heavy shadows across the face
Sunglasses or hats
Photos taken in very warm yellow light
Screenshots of photos if you can send the original
Little details matter. Even a beauty filter can make skin look smoother, brighter, cooler, or warmer than it really is. Foundation matching works best with real skin texture and real lighting.
The best file formats to send
When you send your selfies, regular phone photos are perfect.
Preferred formats include:
JPG
JPEG
PNG
HEIC from an iPhone
If you are texting or messaging from your phone, you usually do not need to change anything. Just send the clearest version you have.
If an app asks whether you want to send a lower-quality image, choose the higher-quality option when possible. A blurry or compressed image makes undertone harder to read.
You can send your photos by message, or you can comment and I will reach out with the next step. If you are shy about posting publicly, please message me privately. Your photos do not need to go in the comments.
Also, please include a little note with your photos if you can.
Helpful details to share:
Your current foundation shade, if you have one
A shade that has worked well in the past
A shade that looked wrong and why
Your skin type
Your preferred finish
Your coverage preference
For finish, you can keep it simple. Tell me if you like a natural, glowing, satin, or more matte look. For coverage, tell me if you prefer light, medium, or fuller coverage.
If you have no idea, that is fine too. You can simply say, “I need help from scratch.”

What I look for as your LimeLife Beauty Guide
When I review your selfies, I am not just looking for whether your skin is light, medium, tan, or deep. Shade depth is only one piece of the puzzle.
I am also looking at undertone. Undertone is the subtle color beneath the surface of your skin. It is the reason two people can look similar in depth but need different foundation shades.
Some common undertone clues include:
Cool undertones may look pink, rosy, or blue-based
Warm undertones may look golden, yellow, or peachy
Neutral undertones may sit between warm and cool
Olive undertones may have a green or muted golden cast
You do not have to know your undertone before you participate. That is what I am here for.
I also pay attention to your neck, chest, and overall contrast. Some people prefer to match the center of the face. Others want to match the neck. Many people need a shade that balances both.
As a LimeLife Beauty Guide, I can also help you think through how you want your foundation to behave. A great match is not only about color. It also needs to fit your routine.
For example, someone who likes a quick five-minute makeup look may want a different approach than someone who loves a polished full-face look. Someone with dry skin may have different finish preferences than someone who gets shiny by lunch.
Your match is personal. That is the whole point.
Who should join the 30 Ladies in 30 Days challenge
This challenge is for you if foundation has ever felt confusing, frustrating, or risky to buy without help.
You should join if:
You are curious about LimeLife foundation
You have no idea what shade you are
Your current foundation looks too pink, yellow, orange, gray, or pale
Your face and neck do not match when you wear makeup
You want a fresh shade check for a new season
You prefer personal help over guessing online
You want guidance without pressure to buy
This is also great if your skin tone changes throughout the year. Many people need a lighter shade in winter, a deeper shade in summer, or a mix during the transition months. If your “usual” foundation suddenly looks a little off, you are not imagining it.
Skin tone can shift with sun exposure, self-tanner, skincare changes, or even how much time you spend outdoors. A quick color match can help you feel back on track.
And if you have never been shade matched before, this is a low-pressure way to try it.
No appointment. No store visit. No purchase required.
Just you, a few selfies, and a little help from me.
What happens after you get your match
Once I send your suggested match, you can do whatever feels right for you.
You can save it for later. You can ask follow-up questions. You can compare it to a foundation you already own. You can tell me what you usually like or dislike in a base product. If you decide you want to try LimeLife, I can help with that too.
But again, joining the challenge does not mean you have to buy anything.
My goal is to make this fun and useful. I want you to walk away with more confidence, even if all you do is learn more about your undertone or what shade family you may fall into.
If your photos are tricky because of lighting, I may ask for one more selfie. That is not a bad thing. It just means I want to give you the best guidance I can.
Your match suggestion is based on the photos and information you send. Since screens and lighting can vary, there can be a little trial and adjustment with any online match. Clear photos make a big difference, and honest feedback helps too.
If you try the shade and feel unsure, tell me what you notice. Does it look too yellow? Too pink? Too light? Too deep? Does it disappear into the neck but feel bright on the face? Those details help refine the recommendation.
